 Hi bookies, today I am doing again the serial book or movie. This post is about Nicola Yoon famous bestseller book Everything, everything. This book made a BOOM in 2017 and after so many good reactions, the movie came out. To be honest, it was hard at first to find a book edition in Serbia, but after a while, the book was mine, thanks to UrbanReads.

∴ My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla. But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster. ∴

The first things that I want to mention are the illustrations and diagrams in the book. Amazing. Reading it you actually have a feeling that you already watch the movie. So instead of for example one chapter of writing an email, they put an image of the email.

 

The story is kind of sad at the beginning. The disease, her typical day, her feelings. But then after she met a boy the story become so exciting, and like a love story, but not in every part. She can’t leave the house,, she can’t be in the same room with him.

She spent her whole life with only two persons. Her mum and their housekeeper. In the beginning, I was amazed at how is she cool with all of these things, and how you actually used to live that kind of life. This is somehow a very mixed kind of book, and I can’t select it into one genre. It is drama, because of the illness, and all the troubles of it, it is romance and love story, also adventures after she got into the amazing trip with her boyfriend. So I would say this is kind of those SWEET BOOKS it is not too much romantic, not too much drama.

The writing is extremely easy and enjoyable. Yoon has the ability to write text in an informal-formal way that makes it impossible to be boring. But, the most important thing, I really like to find in the book is the main question. So, Everything, everything has a really important one, and it is,  How far will we go for the person we love? What are the effects of experiencing momentous tragedy? Is being confined to one place without experiencing what life offers truly, living?

And now, the movie and book… Hm, I have to say there are not so many differences, of course, I liked the book more, but the movie is not bad too. I mead it really shows the characters as they are in the books, the situations, and it follows every step from it. So I listed some of the differences between the book and movie: 

1.  Olly doesn’t have a roof hideout. In the book, one of Olly’s favorite things to do was hang out on his roof, but movie Olly has no such hangout — he spends most of his time in his room.
2. Maddy doesn’t really talk to anyone else online. Maddy’s isolation is pretty complete in the book but it’s even starker on screen. She doesn’t mention having internet friends (though her hilarious Tumblr book reviews are still a thing).
3. Carla’s daughter is a much bigger presence. Book Carla mentions her daughter several times, especially when she can tell that Maddy’s behaving like a typical teen, but in the movie, you see her coming over to the Whittier household and hanging out with Maddy. They’re not exactly BFFs but they do seem to have a closer relationship.
4. Olly and Maddy get to interact more. This is just the nature of watching a movie instead of reading a book, but since Maddy and Olly initially communicate via text and email only, the movie dramatizes those interactions in a realized version of Maddy’s architectural models. It’s not technically real life but it does mean you see them speaking to one another in person more than you do while reading.
5. Maddy gets sick after she runs out of the house to defend Olly from his dad. In the book, her mom makes a fuss about how she could have gotten sick but Maddy doesn’t actually fall ill.
6. Maddy doesn’t visit Carla’s house before the Hawaii trip. This probably won’t take away your experience of the movie unless you’re a Carla superfan, though I did sort of miss Carla’s skepticism about the so-called test drugs that Maddy had told Olly would help her survive outdoors.
7. Olly and Madeline’s reunion is simplified. When Maddy decides to find Olly again in the book, she leads him on a mini scavenger hunt through a New York City bookstore, where he has to find her copy of The Little Prince. Once he does that, she’ll be waiting. In the movie, The Little Prince element is gone, and they just find each other hanging out in the stacks.

Zdravo knjigoljupci, danas radim ponovo serijal knjiga ili film. Ovaj post je o knjizi Sve bas Sve, Nikole Juna. Ova knjiga je napravila BOOM 2017. godine i nakon toliko dobrih reakcija, film je izašao. Da budem iskrena, bilo je teško u pocetku pronaći knjigu u Srbiji, ali nakon nekog vremena knjiga je bila moja, zahvaljujući UrbanReads-u.

∞ Bolujem od retke i malo poznate bolesti. Ukratko, alergična sam na svet. Ne napuštam kuću, i zapravo nisam izašla u spoljni svet već sedamnaest godina. Jedini ljudi koje viđam su mama i moja negovateljica Karla.
Međutim, jednoga dana se pred komšijskom kućom pojavi kamion za selidbe. Kad bacim pogled kroz prozor, ugledam njega. Visok je, vitak i sav u crnom – crna majica, crne farmerke, crne patike i crna kapa koja mu potpuno pokriva kosu. Uhvati me kako virim i uzvrati pogled. Gledamo se netremice. Zove se Oli.
Možda i ne možemo da predvidimo budućnost, ali ponešto ipak možemo. Na primer, ja ću se sasvim sigurno zaljubiti u njega. I to sasvim sigurno neće izaći na dobro. ∞

Prva stvar koju želim da pomenem su ilustracije i dijagrami u knjizi. Neverovatno. Čitajući je, imate osećaj da već gledate film. Dakle, umesto, na primer, jednog poglavlja pisanja e-pošte, oni su stavili sliku e-pošte.

Priča je tužna na početku. Bolest, njen tipičan dan, njena osećanja. Ali, nakon što je upoznala dečaka, priča je postala tako uzbudljiva. Ona ne može napustiti kuću, ona ne može biti u istoj sobi s njim.

Ceo život provodila je sa samo dve osobe. Njena mama i njihova kucna pomocnica. Na početku, bila sam zapanjena kako je cool sa svim ovim stvarima i kako je naviknuta na taj nacin zivota, koji ni malo nije lak. Ovo je nekako vrlo mix vrsta knjige i ne mogu da je svrstam u jedan žanr. To je drama, zbog bolesti i svih problema, romantična i ljubavna priča, i avantura nakon odlaska na neverovatno putovanje sa svojim deckom. Dakle, rekla bih da su ovo vrsta SLATKIH KNJIGA, nije previše romantična, ne previše drame.

 

1. Stil pisanja je izuzetno citljiv i prijatan. Jun ima mogućnost pisanja teksta na neformalno-formalni način koji je nemoguce biti dosadan. Ali, najvažnija stvar koju stvarno volim naći u knjizi je glavno pitanje. Dakle, Sve, sve ima stvarno vazno pitanje, a to je, Koliko daleko ćemo ići za osobu koju volimo?  Kako je ograniciti se na jedno mesto a da ne doživite ono što život nudi istinski, živeti?A sada, film i knjiga … Hm, moram reći da nema mnogo razlika, naravno, više mi se dopala knjiga, ali i film nije loš. Tako da  sam navela neke od razlika između knjige i filma:1. Olli nema Krov na kome provodi vreme. U knjizi, jedna od Olli omiljenih stvari bila je da provodi vreme  na krovu, ali u filmu Oli nema takvo mesto- većinu vremena provodi u svojoj sobi.
   2.Maddi stvarno ne razgovara sa nikim drugim. Maddijeva izolacija je prilično kompletna u knjizi. Ona ne pominje internetske prijatelje (mada joj je i zabavan pregled Tumblr-ovih knjiga ).
   3.Carlaova ćerka ima mnogo veće prisustvo. U knjiziKarlina cerka se spominje više puta, posebno kada ona konstatuje da se Maddi  ponaša kao tipičan tinejdžer, ali u film, ona cak i dolazi kod Medi kuci. One nisu najbolje drugarice ali ipak provode dosta vremena zajedno.
   4.Olli i Maddi se više bore za interakciju.
   5.Madi se razboli nakon što izlazi iz kuće da brani Olli od svog oca. U knjizi, njena mama se plaši kako je mogla da se razboli, ali Maddi stvarno nije bolestna.
   6.Maddi ne posjeti Karinu kuću pre putovanja na Havajima.
   7.Olivija i Madelineova okupljanja su pojednostavljena.
